MY DAY TRIP IN HONG KONG

趁着五一假期, 我第一次去了香港。

I paid my very first visit to Hong Kong during this May Day holiday.

天气晴好, 海水湛蓝。不到一个小时的光景, 我便到达香港中环地区。

It was a beautiful sunny day and the water was crystal blue. I arrived in Hong Kong within an hour.

大部分香港的出租车司机会讲英文。我的粤语还不够灵光, 大部分时间要用英文沟通。我没有太多时间徜徉在香港街头, 所以只能在出租车里面欣赏沿途的风景。

Most taxi drivers in Hong Kong speak English. My Cantonese is not good enough and I had to speak English most of the time. I did not have much time to explore local streets in Hong Kong. I could only take a quick glance when I was in the taxi.

我喜欢参观不同的大学, 总爱在校园里逛逛。香港理工大学是我香港之行的第一站。由于是周末, 校园里的人并不多。遗憾的是, 我没能进去图书馆看看。图书馆旁边别致的小咖啡馆倒令我印象深刻。

I like visiting different universities and walking around the campus. The Hong Kong Polytechnic University was my first stop. There were a few people on campus at the weekend. Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to check the library. The chic little coffee shop next to it impressed me deeply.

离开香港理工大学之后, 司机师傅把我载到了香港海洋公园。这个绚丽多彩的奇幻世界令我心情愉悦。坐缆车的时候, 我有一点害怕。我原本想在公园内买一些纪念品, 逛了好久, 却始终没有挑选到合适的物品。

When I left the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the taxi driver drove me all the way to Hong Kong Ocean Park. This colorful wonderland made me feel cheerful. I was a little bit scared when I took the cable. I was trying to purchase something at those souvenir shops in the park. However, I did not find anything suitable.

晚上天气微凉。尽管行程短暂, 我却感触颇多。香港确实是一座美丽的城市。我还会再回来的。

It was getting a little bit cold in the evening. I felt a lot during this short visit. Hong Kong is really a beautiful city. I will be back again.
